The Meaning, Types, and Forms of Corruption

Corruption is one of the major global problems of the 21st century. It undermines public trust, hampers development, and weakens democratic institutions. The aim of this article is to analyze the concept of corruption, its main types, and the various forms it takes, with a focus on legal, political, and social dimensions. The paper employs legal analysis, comparative review, and empirical observations to evaluate the phenomenon and propose anti-corruption strategies. Special attention is paid to the Uzbek context, legal reforms, and public policy interventions. The study concludes that only ethical responsibility and institutional transparency can reduce corruption sustainably.
