Abstract

This article explores the role of 21st-century literature as a tool for social critique, addressing pressing global challenges such as economic inequality, migration, technological dependence, and ecological crises. Through an analysis of works by contemporary authors—including Dave Eggers, Jonathan Safran Foer, Emmanuel Carrère, and others—the study highlights how literature serves not only as a reflection of societal issues but also as a platform for proposing solutions. By examining themes like systemic inequality, cultural conflicts, and humanity's relationship with technology and nature, the article demonstrates how modern literature inspires readers to rethink their roles in shaping a more just and sustainable future.
