Learning motivation cannot be separated in school learning. The problem causes students to not understand learning because it is considered saturating. Given that it is often found that teachers still do not apply a variety of components in the learning process, especially media. Students' habituation in exploring contextual and non-abstract material is increasingly favored in facilitating understanding of lesson content. This condition is less visible in learning IPAS material at Manisrejo 2 elementary school in Madiun City. The purpose of this article is to create traditional puppet media with the concept of diversity designed through regional figures. The results of the research findings show that the traditional puppet media brings success as needed because of the real character that can be seen directly by students. In addition, this media can be played directly by students so that it can foster the internalization of local wisdom, which is raised from real visual diversity. This proof is obtained from the assessment of material and media experts above 90% so that when applied to students, especially class IV, it can motivate because learning takes place contextually.
