Abstract

This study delves into strategies for innovating higher education governance in Vietnam amidst the digital age, focusing on addressing challenges like bureaucracy, resource scarcity, and inadequate digital infrastructure. Employing a qualitative approach and literature review, the research identifies pivotal avenues for improving digital infrastructure, technology proficiency, and management practices. The study underscores the necessity for substantial investments in bolstering digital infrastructure to effectively integrate emergent technologies into higher education management and pedagogy. It advocates for comprehensive training initiatives to augment the technological understanding of administrative personnel and educators. Additionally, the study emphasizes implementing robust assessment and feedback mechanisms to ensure the sustained efficacy of innovation strategies. The findings underscore the imperative for a multifaceted approach, emphasizing enhanced digital infrastructure, comprehensive technology training, and decentralized management. Collaboration between policymakers, educational leaders, and technology stakeholders is essential for elevating Vietnamese higher education's quality and global stature. By embracing advanced management paradigms and digital technologies, the study asserts that current challenges can be effectively addressed, and avenues for sustainable development in higher education institutions can be realized. Further research is recommended to explore the application of digital technology and innovative governance models within the Vietnamese higher education landscape, informing future strategies and policies.
