Abstract

In recent years, the global community has increasingly recognized the importance of green energy in addressing environmental degradation, climate change, and resource scarcity. Green energy — derived from renewable sources such as solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal — offers a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. It plays a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring energy security, and fostering economic development through cleaner technologies. Uzbekistan, in alignment with global trends, has been actively implementing policies and initiatives to promote renewable energy projects. This article explores the current significance of green energy, highlighting its environmental and economic benefits, and presents an overview of its development in Uzbekistan.
