Abstract

This paper discussed the contributions of Roman Catholic Universities to the soci0-economic development of Nigeria. The paper is a review paper that depend secondary data. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. The paper concluded The paper disclosed that the contribution of Roman Catholic universities to the socio-economic development of Nigeria includes the; provision of Stable Academic Calendar, employment generation, research development, provision of access to eligible candidates, provision of community service and manpower development and production. Based on this findings, the paper hereby recommends that the federal government should hence forth include allow private universities to benefits from the TETF fund with conditions. Private universities should partner with international organization to raise funds and infrastructure facilities development in Nigeria.
