Abstract

This article explores effective teaching strategies for imparting vocabulary related to sustainable construction. As sustainability becomes a central focus in the construction industry, understanding the terminology associated with green materials is crucial for professionals and students alike. The article highlights a range of instructional approaches, including contextual learning with real-world examples, hands-on experiences with material samples, the use of visual aids, interactive games, role-playing, and collaboration with industry professionals. Additionally, it discusses the integration of technology and digital tools to reinforce learning and enhance retention. By employing these diverse strategies, educators can effectively teach green building materials vocabulary, enabling students to confidently apply these terms in practical, real-world settings and contribute to the growing field of sustainable construction.
