Abstract

In the age of globalization, cultures, traditions, and ideologies cross borders more rapidly than ever before. While this cultural exchange can foster understanding and innovation, it also carries the potential for cultural erosion and identity crises. For countries like Uzbekistan, with its deep historical roots, vibrant traditions, and strong moral and cultural values, the pervasive influence of Western "mass culture" has become a topic of concern, especially regarding its impact on the youth. This article explores the nature of Western "mass culture," its penetration into Uzbek society, and the challenges it poses for the younger generation.
