Nomination as a Fundamental Language Category: Linguistic and Cognitive Analysis

This article is devoted to the study of nomination as a fundamental category of language that provides a link between the language system and the surrounding world. The paper examines the mechanisms of nomination from the point of view of linguistics and cognitive science, highlights the main types of nominations (direct and metaphorical) and their role in the formation of abstract concepts. Special attention is paid to the influence of the cultural context on naming processes, as well as the hierarchical organization of nominations in the language. The results of the study demonstrate that the nomination is a complex process that includes conceptualization, semantic organization of knowledge, and cultural characteristics. The data obtained can be applied in language teaching, translation, and the development of artificial intelligence systems.
