Public Private Partnership Model and Development of Facilities in Tertiary Institution in Nigeria

Abstract

The paper critically looked at the impact of PPP on infrastructure facilities development in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The paper rely on secondary data that were collected from print and online publication. The paper concluded that PPP model have positive relationship with facilities development in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. PPP model is a viable option and model that can be adopted by individual institutions in Nigeria to solve the challenges of inadequate infrastructure facilities. Based on this, the paper hereby recommended that the federal and state government should review the Public Private Partnership act and make it more flexible for educational institutions to adopt. Tertiary institutions administrators in Nigeria should adopt Private Partnership model to facilitate the development of infrastructure facilities in the various tertiary education in Nigeria.
