Metaphorization of Traditional Imagery in the Poetry of Shavkat Raghman

The present study elucidates the notion of a metaphorical image and the process of metaphorising conventional images within the poetry of Shavkat Rahman. Metaphorical pictures in the poet's poetry are scrutinised and their creative and aesthetic function is analysed.
