Abstract

The state standard of secondary (complete) general education in a foreign language states that a graduate should be able to read literature in the foreign language being studied using various reading strategies, that is, have the skills of access, study and review/search. "Such types of reading, as many studies show, allow solving almost all the problems of access to printed sources associated with the communicative, cognitive and aesthetic needs of a person" [203, p. 31].
