This paper examined the effects of inflation on tertiary education administration in Nigeria. Secondary data were used in the paper. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. Content analysis was employed to select suitable journals and abstracts for the paper. The paper established that inflation has negatively affected the tertiary institutions administration in Nigeria. The paper also established that inflation has led to a reduction in the value of tertiary institutions’ funds, an increment in school fees, a delay in the completion of infrastructure facilities, an increment in the prices of office resources/ office equipment, an increment in laboratory resources (reagents), affected students’ academic performance and tertiary institutions’ staff job performance and may affect the quality of tertiary education if not addressed immediately. Based on these discoveries, the paper hereby recommended that the federal and state governments should increase the budgetary allocation to all tertiary institutions to enable the institutions to operate effectively. The government should expand and diversify the economy by increasing local production of goods. The government should implement bursaries and student loan programmes for students in tertiary institutions to reduce the effects of inflation. The government should provide school buses for all tertiary institutions to aid the movement of staff and students. The government should increase the salaries of tertiary institutions staff.
