Abstract

One of the universal properties common to all languages in the world is synonymy, which is of great importance in the processing, transfer and storage information received in today's information society. This, in turn, increases interest in the formation and development of the phenomenon of synonymy in speech and texts. In the study of synonymy, its cognitive aspect is relevant, and it serves to scientifically substantiate new perspectives of this linguistic phenomenon in the study of language, thought and reality, mutual differences and similarities between lexical units.
